The AMC's New Hampshire 4000 Footer List
Without a doubt the most commonly sought peak bagging goal is to be one of the many that have completed the AMC's 4000 footer club list. To be a member of this club you must climb, on foot to and from each of the summits on "the list." Most of the trails to the peaks on this list are very well travelled and you'll find that even the most remote climbs on the list are visited often. I would say the most fundamental criteria affecting this specific list is that each summit must rise a minimum of 200 feet above the col between it and it's nearest neighbor.
